My name is Tash and I've just started at the University of Exeter this year doing a BA International Relations with Modern Languages (Spanish). I hope to meet you in person to tell you more about myself and thank you for your support in due course, but I wanted to write a quick note to say thank you so much for your generous scholarship which I have recently been awarded.
As you know, I am a care leaver so I'm sure you'll realise how much it means to me to be awarded a scholarship like this, especially as a lot of the students here at Exeter are from very different backgrounds to me, which can be daunting knowing I need to keep up with my classmates without the same level of background support. Being awarded this scholarship means an ease of mind, one less thing to think about when everything I have is what I've had to work for on my own. Scholarships like this give people like myself an opportunity to put their all into their studies and make the most of their time at university.
I'm reassured knowing I've worked hard to be where I am today and with the support of the University, as well as your scholarship, I hope to achieve my best during my time at Exeter.
Thank you again, I look forward to meeting you in person and to keeping you updated on how my studies are going over the next few years, and how I am making the most of my time at Exeter.
